Now dt is threatening to invade Mexico.
It's hard to carry on with daily work when we have a madman in the White House.
His closest aides are concerned enough that they leaked the transcripts of his calls to other heads of state made last Saturday.
Our president (?!) speaking to President Enique Pena Nieto of Mexico:
"You have a bunch of bad hombres down there. You aren't doing enough to stop them. I think your military is scared. Our military isn't, so I just might send them down to take care of it."
No other president--George Bush, Barack Obama--would have said anything like that in a million years.
How can citizens of the USA respond? If we do and say nothing, we allow this bullying to continue.
I do not want to be in the streets of Los Angeles demonstrating against the latest outrage every weekend.
Okay, I will start sending postcards and making calls to senators and representatives in Congress, though the ones who actually represent me are as horrified as I am.
The US has invaded Mexico before and fought battles to acquire California and parts of Texas. To speak like this to Mexico's president is stupid and crude.
I guess I need to join the petitions to impeach this demented president. Originally, his refusal to divest from his businesses abroad was my reason to impeach him--his disregarding the emoluments clause of the Constitution.
But every day he commits another act against the Constitution (his ban on travelers from seven Muslim countries) or against reason (threatening to invade Mexico).
Here's a report on 500,000 signatures so far with the Impeach Trump Now website supported by Free Speech for People in partnership with RootsAction.

MoveOn.org and Change.org have each organized separate impeachment campaigns.
In fact, there are so many impeachment efforts going on that it's hard to figure out which one to support. As far as I can tell, the Impeach Trump Now is the largest.
Here's a smaller impeachment campaign tied directly into the White House:

- Whereas Donald Trump lost the popular vote by nearly three million votes;
- Whereas Donald Trump has yet to resolve the ethical and possibly criminal conflicts between his businesses and his duties as public servant;
- Whereas Donald Trump has refused to release his tax returns or declare his financial interests;
- Whereas Donald Trump is a self-professed sexual predator and climate change denier;
- Whereas Donald Trump is unprepared for the job of president;
His tenure in office will degrade the dignity of government, debase respect for public servants, undermine national security, and enable broad forms of corruption, malfeasance and dereliction.
- Therefore, we demand that he be removed from office so that the business of government can be conducted in a serious and ethical manner.
