Sources of Sanity

Thank God for newspapers with intelligent long-term columnists, hard-working reporters, and money to pay those who bring us facts and truth.

This week's Sunday Review in the New York Times helps me to regain some sanity about this presidency.

• "Why Nobody Cares the President Is Lying" by Charles J. Sykes. The right's battle against the media has caused their followers to lose touch with reality.  The only media sources they listen to are those that don't criticize the president but instead offer "alternate facts" and fake news. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/04/opinion/sunday/why-nobody-cares-the-president-is-lying.html
• "Me, Me, Me, Me, Me" by Frank Bruni.  He reviews Trump's narcissism and lies, such as that "black voters so liked his campaign message that they voted for him in unexpectedly high numbers. (He got 8% of the black vote.)" https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/04/opinion/me-me-me-me-me.html
