Woman's life or unborn child?

Albert Wynn with Gloria Feldt

"No woman is required to build the world by destroying herself."  - Rabbi Moshe Sofer, chief rabbi of Pressburg (now Bratislava), who lived 1763-1839).

Gloria Feldt, president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America from 1996 to 2005, wrote  The War on Choice: The Right-Wing Fight on Women's Choice and How To Fight Back (Bantam, 2004).

On p. 110 she discusses Rabbi Sofer's decision that the life of the woman takes precedence in cases where a woman in labor cannot deliver and will die unless the unborn child is somehow removed.

A happy new year... without Trump?

Richard Painter on MSNBC Jan. 3

"I think the game's up for Donald Trump."

Thus spoke my television the moment I turned it on this morning, January 3, 2008.

The voice was Richard Painter speaking on MSNBC about reports in The Fire and the Fury: Inside the Trump White House by Michael Wolff, not yet released but seen by The Guardian.

What a new year's present!

Wolff quotes Steve Bannon speaking about the meeting with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya in Trump Tower in June, 2016:

“Even if you thought that this was not treasonous, or unpatriotic, or bad shit, and I happen to think it’s all of that, you should have called the FBI immediately.”

Bannon also speculated that Trump Jr had involved his father in the meeting. “The chance that Don Jr did not walk these jumos up to his father’s office on the twenty-sixth floor is zero.”

This year I'm not concerned to post on this blog every day about the latest impeachment-worthy words or deeds of dt.  I don't need to work hard to impeach him--he's doing the work himself.

The POTUS lies to cover-up the true nature of the meeting constitute obstruction of justice.  Trump will be impeached when the Mueller team release their report and charges.  Let's hope it all comes down in 2018.

Note:
Richard Painter is  the vice-chairman of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW).
Painter was the chief White House ethics lawyer in the George W. Bush administrationfrom 2005–2007. Since January 2017, he has been involved in the CREW lawsuit against President Donald Trump (CREW v. Trump). The suit alleges that Trump is in violation of the U.S. Constitution's emoluments clause, due to his refusal to sell assets and put others in a blind trust.   *Thank you, Wikipedia.
