Irony and Iron

While a CSU professor read a paper on "Intellectual Spanish Women Sent to German Concentration Camps..." at MLA, the Modern Language Association for English/French/Spanish teachers etc, meeting this weekend in Los Angeles, a brilliant Tucson woman serving in Congress was shot along with 19 others.
Gun control, anyone? Without it, the words of extremists become bullets.

In Memoriam: Tucson

There's no violence on Venus,
nor on Jupiter or Mars.
Only Earth is stained with blood,
the filthiness of wars.

From her heart we break her iron;
we fire it 'til it runs.
We pound it and oppress it
and manufacture guns.
